Our Story

Bridge of Youth to Seniors (BY2S) was created to give young people everywhere a meaningful way to connect with, support, and learn from older generations.

The idea grew from years of experience bringing young musicians and volunteers into senior living and memory care communities. Through these visits, we saw firsthand how meaningful even a simple interaction could be. We also saw how many different talents young people could share. Music was only the beginning. Visual arts, handcrafted gifts, storytelling, video production, interviews, and other creative projects could all become ways to bring joy, connection, and a sense of community to older adults.

Long before BY2S officially launched, Noah and Acelynn were already volunteering together, sharing piano and cello performances with older adults in senior communities.

To turn that idea into an open platform for students, BY2S was developed as a structured nonprofit organization with adult leadership working alongside its founding youth leaders, Noah Lim and Acelynn Saisuphaluck.

As BY2S was taking shape, founding youth leaders Noah and Acelynn helped create its early identity, including its name, logo, materials, and programs, alongside adult leadership.

From the earliest stages, before BY2S officially launched, Noah and Acelynn helped shape the organization alongside its adult leadership. Their contributions included helping develop the BY2S name and early programs, designing the original logo and event materials, composing the opening jingle, producing and editing videos, conducting interviews with physicians and older adults to support educational content, and assisting with outreach and coordination. Their involvement continued as BY2S grew, giving them firsthand experience across many aspects of the organization's programs and community work.

As BY2S grew, Noah and Acelynn's work expanded beyond music to include handmade projects, educational interviews, video, and other ways of learning from and connecting with older adults.

Today, BY2S is open to any student who wants to make a difference. The organization continues to expand its network, welcoming youth volunteers locally and internationally, including participation in Thailand and Taiwan, through creative projects, donation drives, resident interviews, educational media, and performance visits.

At its heart, BY2S is about more than any one talent or activity. It is about giving young people, regardless of their background or skill set, a way to contribute what they can, learn from an older generation, and build meaningful intergenerational connections within their communities and beyond.
